Ali’s Story (Orphan)
Ali was an orphan from a small village near Sargodha in Pakistan who dreamed of becoming a successful software developer but had no means to pursue his education. One day, he discovered the Rozi Roti organization, which offered free online courses. Ali enrolled in a programming language course and worked hard to learn the skills.
With his new knowledge, he started working as a freelancer, developing software for small businesses in Pakistan. His experience grew and soon he started to get projects from overseas. Slowly but surely, he earned a stable income, which changed his life for the better.
Ali was grateful for the opportunity he received from Rozi Roti, which helped him become a successful freelancer without investing any money, but rather than investing in himself and believing that he could do it. It’s a powerful testimony of the powerful impact of online education and the opportunities it can provide for those who are underprivileged.
Saba’s Story (Capacity Building)
In Karachi, Pakistan, where 90% of freelancers were unable to acquire assignments, Saba was an educated freelancer who was trying to find employment. Saba struggled to land assignments despite having excellent graphic design talents, which prevented her from earning a steady salary.
One day, Saba attended a live Rozi Roti webinar on Facebook and found out about their capacity building for freelancers. She enrolled in the program and started to identify which skills she lacked. She then worked hard to improve herself in her written communication skills so she can correspond with her clients more effectively. With her newfound skills, Saba started applying for freelance projects on Rozi Roti’s platform. Soon enough, she was able to secure projects and earn a stable income.
The opportunity provided by Rozi Roti changed Saba’s life for the better. She was finally able to support herself and feel a sense of pride in her work. Fatima’s Story (Becoming a Freelancer)
Fatima was a widowed single mother in small village in the province of KPK, Pakistan struggling to provide for her family. As a woman, she faced limited job opportunities, and leaving her home to work was not an option due to societal norms, which made it even more challenging for her to earn living.
Fatima’s friend told her about Rozi Roti and how they are helping people build new skills and earn a living by becoming a freelancer. She enrolled in the program and worked tirelessly to learn new skills from their courses and their capacity building platform for new freelancers. With her newly acquired skills, Fatima was finally confident enough in her skills to start working as a freelancer on Rozi Roti’s platform. With determination and hard effort, she was able to secure her first project and earned her first earning. The tears of joy she shed upon receiving her first payment will never be forgotten. The opportunity provided by Rozi Roti changed Fatima’s life for the better. She was now finally able to provide for her family with her stable income and give her children a brighter future.
